On the outward journey, you'll stopover in the exciting city of Hong Kong for 2 nights before travelling direct to Auckland on the North Island. Then you will visit the magical Bay of Islands, explore the Coromandel Peninsula, understand the traditions of Maori culture in Rotorua, cruise on Lake Taupo, world famous for its trout fishing and sample the wines in Martinborough. Then cruise across to the South Island through the glorious Marlborough Sounds, relax on the golden sandy beaches of the Abel Tasman National Park and see the giant Sperm Whales, dolphins, seals and other sea birds on an eco tour in Kaikoura.
