Say “I do” to a wedding in paradise

Find something old in the colourful village traditions and culture; something new in the stunning resorts and hotels; something borrowed in the delicious, fusion-style cuisine and something blue in the warm, turquoise waters of the crystal clear lagoons. Say your vows against a backdrop of white sand and swaying palms, in a small chapel overlooking the sparkling ocean, or aboard a stunning cruiser as you sail around the islands.

You’ll find that most of our selected resorts promise a wide range of wedding options, from a simple ceremony to an elaborate wedding with reception, flowers and wedding cake. However you choose to spend your big day, experienced wedding co-ordinators will help you every step of the way with all the necessary documentation, formalities and planning. It’s just up to you to say “I do”.

WEDDING GIFT SERVICE

Forget the toasters and the dinner service, what could be more perfect as a wedding gift than a slice of paradise? If your friends or family would like to contribute to your South Pacific wedding or honeymoon, we provide a gift card service to help them do just that.

It’s simple to arrange - just tell us how many printed gift cards you require, complete your booking reference details in each one and hand them out to the relevant friends and family. Once you have confirmed your booking with us, they can then call us direct to make their contribution, which will be deducted from your final balance (due approximately 10 weeks before departure). Should you require it, we can supply you with a full list of names and amounts contributed at any time.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET MARRIED

All weddings in the following locations are legally binding worldwide and require certain documentation to be lodged prior to the wedding date. Where necessary, we will provide you with all the paperwork and submit it on your behalf prior to your arrival. All arrangements and local requirements are usually included in your wedding package. Please ask us for details at the time of booking.

Fiji

• You will need an original or certified copy of your birth certificate and passport
• Proof of annulment or divorce (if applicable)
• Confirmation letter of current marital status

Cook Islands

• You must be resident in the Cook Islands for at least 3 days prior to the wedding
• You will need an original or certified copy of your birth certificate and passport
• Confirmation letter of current marital status

Samoa

• You will need an original or certified copy of your birth certificate and passport
• Proof of annulment or divorce (if applicable)
• Confirmation letter of current marital status

Vanuatu

• You must be resident in Vanuatu for at least 3 days prior to the wedding
• You will need an original or certified copy of your birth certificate and passport
• Proof of annulment or divorce (if applicable)
• Confirmation letter of current marital status

In both French Polynesia and New Caledonia, one month of residency is required prior to a civil ceremony and ten days must also be allowed for the wedding bands to be published. To overcome these constraints, traditional wedding ceremonies or marriage celebrations can be held without legal implications to complete a civil marriage or to renew vows.

In Tonga, beach weddings are not permitted. It is possible to be married in one of the many churches around the island but couples must undergo lengthy religious instruction from the local parish priest.
